Investment & development of data centre assets in the GCC will take place at 3:20pm on Day, 21st November 2023 and will look at the challenges and opportunities of investing in and developing data centres in the GCC region

Can the UAE keep the regional hub? will take place at 2:00pm on Day 2, 22nd November, and will look at the fact that the UAE has long been the regional hub for data centre development, with extensive data centre capacity built and an excellent eco-system of consultants and suppliers. Is this enough for the UAE to remain on top, or is there a threat of another market stealing the crown?

Joe is the CEO and founder of Duke McCaffrey in the Middle East. He is an experienced and accomplished Chartered M&E Quantity Surveyor with a specialism in data centre design and construction.
With a career spanning two decades, he has become a recognised leader in his field, working on some of the most complex data centre projects in Europe, the US and the Middle East for global funds, data centre developers, hyperscalers and owner operators including Keppel Data Centre REIT, Digital Realty, Global Switchand Serverfarm Reality.
