Launch: GDCA GCC Data Sovereignty and Data Flow Report which will take place on Day 1, 21st November at 16:30. This session will feature the launch of the Gulf Data Association’s (GDCA) report on data sovereignty and data flow for the GCC. Representatives from law firms from across the GCC will feature on this panel to share their findings and to discuss the future of data laws in the region.
Masterclass: Entering the Qatar market which will take place on Day 2, 22nd November at 14:30. Qatar has overseen a number of major deployments and continues to see more Government support to see foreign investors come to the market. This session will look at how easy is it to enter the Qatari market and what lessons can be learned from past projects.
Chris is a Senior Associate in the Firm’s Construction and Real Estate department, with a focus on construction disputes. Chris acts for a number of employers, contractors and subcontractors in a range of dispute resolution fora, in particular arbitration, mediation, the Qatar International Court and in the local state courts. He also has a wide experience in handling matters in front of the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority and Qatar Free Zones Authority, which have a growing interest in hosting data centres in their jurisdiction. Christopher is admitted to practice in England and Wales
