Simmons & Simmons’ Jas Shoker joins as a moderator at Touchdown Middle East!

We are thrilled to announce that Jas Shoker, Supervising Associate from Simmons & Simmons will be joining Touchdown Middle East 2024 as a moderator! Jas will be the Moderator of our panel ‘Connectivity: Linking the Middle East to the Global Network’ taking place on Day 1 of the conference, 26^th November at 14:30. 

This panel will look at how the GCC plans to leverage its connectivity advantages such as subsea cable investment and a regulated telecoms market. It explores the changes we can expect in the region in the near future and whether current networks can keep up with the influx of data centres and boom in AI development.

Jas Shoker is a UK-qualified senior lawyer and a key member of the Digital Business team at Simmons & Simmons based in Dubai. Since relocating to the Middle East in 2019, Jas has focussed his practice on advising clients within the technology and telecoms sectors, navigating them through the intricacies of digital infrastructure projects across the Middle East. Jas has been involved in numerous digital infrastructure and subsea cable projects, that have been key in transforming the region’s digital landscape. Additionally, Jas has developed specific expertise in the development and operation of data centres in the Middle East.
