We are excited to announce that Cengiz Oztelcan, Chief Executive Officer from GBI will be joining Touchdown Middle East 2024 as a speaker! Cengiz will join our panel ‘Connectivity: Linking the Middle East to the Global Network’ taking place on Day 1 of the conference, 26th November at 14:30.
This panel will look at how the GCC plans to leverage its connectivity advantages such as subsea cable investment and a regulated telecoms market. It explores the changes we can expect in the region in the near future and whether current networks can keep up with the influx of data centres and boom in AI development.
Cengiz has over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, business and corporate development areas in telecommunications and IT sectors; building and managing large, diverse and geographically dispersed organizations. He has held a variety of senior management roles for multinational companies such as Boeing, Intel and Turk Telekom. He holds a BSc and MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and an Executive MBA from the University of Washington. He currently supports initiatives in the startup ecosystem in different countries especially focusing on Software, IT and Telecommunications domains.
He has also been an active technology entrepreneur having built successful startups in telecom software and MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) fields as well as an angel investor in different startups.
