We are thrilled to announce Joe McCaffrey<\/a><\/strong>, CEO<\/strong>, Duke McCaffrey<\/a><\/strong> will be joining Touchdown Middle East 2023 as a Speaker! Joe will feature on our panels Investment & development of data centre assets in the GCC <\/em><\/strong>and Can the UAE keep the regional hub?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Investment & development of data centre assets in the GCC <\/em><\/strong>will take place at 3:20pm on Day, 21st <\/sup>November 2023<\/strong> and will look at the challenges and opportunities of investing in and developing data centres in the GCC region<\/p>\n

Can the UAE keep the regional hub?<\/em><\/strong> will take place at 2:00pm on Day 2, 22nd<\/sup> November<\/strong>, and will look at the fact that the UAE has long been the regional hub for data centre development, with extensive data centre capacity built and an excellent eco-system of consultants and suppliers. Is this enough for the UAE to remain on top, or is there a threat of another market stealing the crown?<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the main challenges facing the UAE is the provision of skilled professionals. Delivering a data centre project is fraught with risk and it is important we look outside the region to find experts with success in delivering new data centres from concept through construction and completion. These are the people that will enable innovation to happen quickly in the UAE.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Joe is the CEO and founder of Duke McCaffrey in the Middle East. He is an experienced and accomplished Chartered M&E Quantity Surveyor with a specialism in data centre design and construction.<\/p>\n

With a career spanning two decades, he has become a recognised leader in his field, working on some of the most complex data centre projects in Europe, the US and the Middle East for global funds, data centre developers, hyperscalers and owner operators including Keppel Data Centre REIT, Digital Realty, Global Switchand Serverfarm Reality.<\/p>\n\n\t
