We are excited to announce that Takwa Dawdi<\/a>, Senior Electrical Engineer from RED Engineering Design<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>will be joining Touchdown Middle East 2024 as a speaker! Takwa will join our panel \u2018A roundtable talk: Women shaping the digital landscape\u2019 <\/strong>taking place on Day 1 <\/strong>of the conference, 26th<\/sup> November<\/strong> at 16:15.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

This roundtable discussion will dig into how the digital infrastructure community is fairing and what further measures can be taken to reach gender equity.<\/p>\n

Takwa Dawdi is a highly dedicated Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong passion for critical infrastructure design, digital engineering, and sustainability solutions. Her impressive career trajectory sees her in the role of Senior Electrical Engineer at RED Engineering, leading and delivering electrical designs on major Data Centre projects across the region.<\/p>\n

Takwa has a track record of successful leadership and technical expertise across various MEP and Data Centre projects within the Middle East, Europe, and APAC regions. She brings with her a wealth of experience in electrical design and sustainability in construction. Having won the title of \u201cYoung Engineer of the Year\u201d for two consecutive years at the ITP Media MEP Awards 2023 and CIBSE UAE Awards 2024, Takwa is an up-and-coming individual whose work, skill set, and personality point to a big future in the MEP sector.<\/p>\n

Beyond her technical role, Takwa is particularly passionate about women in construction and outreach initiatives to address the gender gap in the industry, as well as push the sustainability agenda. She is currently a member of the Masdar WiSER (Women in Sustainability, Environment, and Renewable Energy) Pioneers program 2024, Masdar\u2019s outreach platform established to champion women as leaders of sustainable change, as well as RED\u2019s internal Women in RED (WiRED) initiative.<\/p>\n\n\t
